COSMETICA Newcomer
Competition for creative young make-up artists
The competition for young make-up artists is one of the annual highlights of COSMETICA Berlin. Students, young make-up artists and young professionals with a maximum of three years of professional experience can take part – starting with the qualification as a make-up artist. The COSMETICA Newcomer sees itself as a professional platform for this target group. It is not only important to specifically promote young talents and present them to a broad specialist audience. The competition also enjoys a high reputation, is sought after and is considered a “door opener” into the industry for the prize winner.
An independent jury of experts initially selects the three best candidates from the applications received. They will then compete against each other in the grand finale at COSMETICA Berlin. Here they have to create a complete make-up on a given topic.
The winner will be honored at a glamorous awards ceremony. In addition to a cash prize for the winner, all three finalists can look forward to high-quality product prizes from the sponsors.

Young make-up artists and industry newcomers are called upon to demonstrate their skills!
Students, young make-up artists and young professionals with a maximum of 3 years of professional experience (starting with the qualification as a make-up artist) can take part.
A participation fee is not charged. All participants in the final and their model receive free entry to COSMETICA Berlin. Travel costs and possible accommodation costs will not be reimbursed.
The topic for the final will be communicated to the finalists in an invitation letter approximately 3 weeks before COSMETICA Berlin.
The final will take place on November 16th at COSMETICA Berlin.
